Sweatpants

Who decided that sweatpants are inappropriate office attire? I have no other pants that are not actively painful. I may have to choose between wearing sweatpants to work from mid-February until mid-March and quitting work a month ahead of schedule.

I had no idea the amount of time I could spend fantasizing about sweatpants. Weekends are sweatpants heaven.

In other news, I have a pan of brownies in the oven featuring prunes and black beans. Sorry, kid. Your mom is that mom.

Yoga pants are the new sweatpants. While they may not be quite up to business-casual level, they are socially acceptable.

Perhaps a nice black pair of yoga pants?

long skirts w elastic bands and leg warmers?? i believe you and i originally bonded over leg warmers, they might even help jazz up the sweatpants.

It was definitely a man who decided that. I am with you on this. All the way. I like the legwarmers and skirt idea, too. I went to the store in a purple tent dress yesterday, and it was too cold.

Pamy! I bet you don't know this, but when I was pregnant with Nora, my blog was the first hit you got when you goggled for "sweatpants at work." I was pretty proud of the fact that I spent the last month at school and work in sweatpants and flip flops. I wasn't winning any beauty contests, but boy was I comfy. And comfy is key when you are pregnant!

I would drape myself in velvet, if it were socially acceptable...
